Dr. Howze is a fellow of the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons. He is board certified by the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgeons. He specializes in foot and ankle reconstructive surgery. Dr. Howze's areas of interest include total ankle joint replacement, foot and ankle arthroscopy, diabetic limb salvage, pediatric flat foot reconstruction, and much more.

He continues to focus on serving the city of San Antonio with high quality, up to date treatment options for all lower extremity ailments. Dr. Howze takes pride in taking the time to get to know his patients. He strives to provide each person with a quality patient experience.

Dr. Howze looked at and evaluated his foot and knew within minutes what muscle it was and what brace would best help my husband to heal. My daughter was suffering from really bad flat feet. Dr. Howze examined her and felt that there was a 50/50 chance that she would not need surgery. We purchased a custom pair of orthotics and unfortunately the pain in her feet continued. So we opted for flatfoot surgery and WE COULD NOT BE MORE HAPPY! My daughter is now completely pain free with and without the use of her orthotics. I could not have asked for a better experience from a doctor.
Dr. Howze took the time to hear my long history of foot pain. He suggested I get tested for a rare collagen disorder. Long story short, I finally received my results almost 1 year later and sure enough I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. I have so many answers to problems I have had for years. Thanks Dr. Howze!
